Adonis Medina went up to the mound for Licey, but Gio Urshela led off with a single. An error in the pitcher&#8217;s throw allowed Urshela to advance to second. Carlos Jim\u00e9nez came in to run as a pinch runner and Jasson Dom\u00ednguez received an intentional walk, setting the stage for Gonz\u00e1lez, who hit the decisive hit.\n\nThe first hit for the Scarlet team came in the sixth chapter, after being down on the scoreboard throughout the game, until they managed to tie in the eighth inning.\n\nJimmy Cordero (1-0) earned the win with one inning and two strikeouts. Medina (1-1) took the loss, allowing the winning run.\n\nWith this result, the Escogido improves its record to 10-12, while the Tigres fall to 9-12.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Game<\/h2>\n\n\nThe Tigres took the lead early with a two-run double by Cristhian Adames in the first inning against Kenny Hern\u00e1ndez, putting the score at 2-0.\n\nMel Rojas Jr. hit a solo home run in the sixth, extending the lead to 3-0 for Licey, who added another run in the eighth.\n\nThe Lions responded in the seventh with walks to Jorge Mateo and Yamaico Navarro. A single by S\u00f3crates Brito drove in the first run, and a hit by Urshela to center field brought in the second, bringing the home team closer 3-2.\n\nIn the eighth, the long-haired team tied the game against Ryan Watson.
