The news was confirmed this Wednesday by the institution based in Rhode Island.\n\nFederer, known for his elegant game and impact on the sport, was the only candidate in the player category who received the necessary support for the Class of 2026. The Hall of Fame does not reveal the voting results.\n\nThe induction ceremony is scheduled for August.\n\n\n

That dominance extended to appearing in 18 of 19 Grand Slam finals; he also accumulated streaks of 23 semifinals and 36 quarterfinals in major tournaments.\n\nDjokovic has described those results as “results that didn’t seem human”.\n\nMary Carillo, television commentator and journalist, was also chosen in the contributor category. She was the first woman to regularly comment on tennis broadcasts and was a correspondent for HBO’s “Real Sports.” She won six Emmy Awards and three Peabody Awards and was inducted into the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2018.\n\n\n
