The two squads maintained a strong rivalry before that fight, with McGregor making disparaging comments about Nurmagomedov&#8217;s family and religion. Nurmagomedov submitted McGregor in their title fight and then jumped out of the octagon to attack his corner.\n\nThe rivalry has calmed down a bit over the years.
