While their time at Wrexham has been a resounding success, their involvement in the Colombian club La Equidad has presented a different picture.\n\nReynolds and McElhenney, known for their historic triple promotion with Wrexham and the resulting commercial success, in part, from the documentary &#8220;Welcome to Wrexham&#8221;, are part of a group of investors who took control of La Equidad this year.\n\nThis group is led by real estate investor Al Tylis and includes the participation of actress Eva Longoria. In addition, prominent names such as MLB pitcher Justin Verlander, Kate Upton, and former NBA player Shawn Marion are listed.\n\nUnlike the rapid success of Reynolds and McElhenney at Wrexham, the situation at La Equidad has not been so favorable. The team finished in last place in the Colombian Primera A, with only three victories in 20 matches.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is La Equidad?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a2.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=%2Fphoto%2F2025%2F0707%2Fr1515881_1296x729_16%2D9.jpg\" alt=\"Ryan Reynolds y Rob McElhenney en el campo\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\nLa Equidad, based in Bogot\u00e1, the capital of Colombia, plays at the Estadio Metropolitano de Techo, with a capacity of 10,000 spectators. However, the fans haven&#8217;t had much to celebrate this season.\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Wrexham owners, Justin Verlander, invest in La Equidad.<\/li><li>Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney praised for their investment in Wrexham.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\nThe last game of the season, a resounding 4-0 victory over Deportivo Pereira, also marked the end of the club&#8217;s stage with its current name, traditional colors, and crest. A new image is expected to be announced in January 2026, according to President Nicol\u00e1s Maya.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;Let&#8217;s experience together the closing of a story that defined Colombian soccer,&#8221; the club posted on social media before its last match under the name of La Equidad.<\/p><cite>La Equidad<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nFounded in 1982, the club will undergo a significant brand renovation.\n\n<p>Could it receive the treatment of a documentary similar to that of Wrexham?
