Jacob deGrom, pitcher for the Texas Rangers, was awarded the Comeback Player of the Year in the American League, while Ronald Acu\u00f1a Jr., outfielder for the Atlanta Braves, received the same recognition in the National League.\n\nEdwin D\u00edaz of the New York Mets was named National League Reliever of the Year (Trevor Hoffman Trophy), and Aroldis Chapman of the Boston Red Sox won the American League Reliever of the Year award (Mariano Rivera Trophy).\n\nShohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers continued his dominance by winning the Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter Award for the fifth consecutive year, tying the record set by David Ortiz. In addition, Ohtani and Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees were honored with their third Hank Aaron Award as the most outstanding offensive players.\n\nMatt Arnold, general manager of the Milwaukee Brewers, made history by becoming the first repeat winner of the MLB Executive of the Year award.\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Award Recipients Details<\/h3>\n\n\nDeGrom, after undergoing Tommy John surgery in June 2023, returned strongly. In the season, he achieved a 12-8 record with an ERA of 2.97 and 185 strikeouts in 172\u2154 innings, securing his fifth All-Star selection.\n\nAcu\u00f1a Jr., who suffered a tear of the left anterior cruciate ligament on May 26, 2024, demonstrated his resilience by returning to the Braves. In the season, he batted .290 with 21 home runs, 42 RBIs, and 9 stolen bases, earning his fifth All-Star selection.\n\nD\u00edaz, who also won the Reliever of the Year award in 2018 and 2022, became the second player to win the award three times, matching Josh Hader. In the season, D\u00edaz had a 6-3 record with a 1.63 ERA, 28 saves in 31 opportunities, and 98 strikeouts in 66\u2154 innings.\n\nChapman, an eight-time All-Star, recorded a 5-3 record with a 1.17 ERA, 32 saves in 34 opportunities, and 85 strikeouts in 61\u2153 innings. In addition, he didn&#8217;t allow hits to 50 consecutive batters from July 23 to September 7. Chapman also won the award in 2019.\n\nOhtani, for his part, batted .282 with 55 home runs, 102 RBIs, 20 stolen bases, 109 walks, and 146 runs scored.
