Rodgers suffered the injury when he fell on his hand while being sacked after throwing the ball on second down and goal, with a few seconds left before halftime. Although he played one more play after a timeout, blood was seen on his hand when he reached the sideline during Chris Boswell’s field goal attempt.<\/p>\n
Although Rodgers was initially considered doubtful to return, he did not return to the field after halftime.<\/p>\n
In the second half, substitute Mason Rudolph took the reins and led the offense to two scoring drives. Rudolph completed 12 of 16 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown, a five-yard pass to Kenneth Gainwell in the final quarter.<\/p>\n
The Steelers’ injury woes continued at the start of the third quarter when running back Jaylen Warren injured his ankle during a tackle. Warren limped off with the medical staff and entered the injury tent.<\/p>\n
Warren, who had accumulated 62 yards on 10 carries and two receptions for five yards, returned to the sideline with his helmet on after a brief stay in the medical tent.
