The incident occurred with just over 12 minutes left in the final quarter of Sunday&#8217;s game.<\/p>\n<p>The situation originated after a previous play, in which both players were penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct on a third-and-one play. The verbal confrontation between Ramsey and Chase continued during a timeout requested by the Bengals, culminating in Ramsey&#8217;s punch.<\/p>\n<p>Ramsey was escorted off the field by a Steelers staff member. Offensive lineman Broderick Jones tried to calm him down before Ramsey headed to the locker room.<\/p>\n<p>The expulsion occurred shortly after Ramsey moved to the slot cornerback position due to an injury to Brandin Echols. Ramsey had started the game as a safety, but adapted to cover Echols&#8217; absence, with Chuck Clark coming in as safety.
