The New York Islanders defenseman achieved this feat with a powerful slap shot at 2:08 of overtime, securing his team’s victory over the Utah Mammoth with a final score of 3-2.

This victory marks the Islanders’ third consecutive overtime win and their fourth win in a row overall.

Jonathan Drouin and Emil Heineman also contributed to the scoreboard for the Islanders, demonstrating once again the team’s strength.

David Rittich, Islanders’ goalie, had an outstanding performance by stopping 27 shots, including the 16 made after the first period.

Schaefer, selected first overall in this year’s NHL draft, already has 15 points, the most among rookies in the league.
Alofoke Deportes

Schaefer surpassed the record previously set by Sidney Crosby, who was 18 years and 101 days old when he scored an overtime goal on November 16, 2005.

On the Mammoth’s side, Dylan Guenther and JJ Peterka were the scorers, standing out in the 100th game of the Utah franchise.
