McAvoy was hit in the mouth by a powerful shot and had to leave the game in the second period.\n\nBruins coach Marco Sturm reported after his team&#8217;s 3-2 victory that McAvoy was &#8220;fine&#8221; and was undergoing medical examinations.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>We will try to bring him home as soon as possible, hopefully tonight with us, but other than that, let&#8217;s hope he&#8217;s okay.<\/p><cite>Marco Sturm<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe incident occurred during a Canadiens power play. A shot by Noah Dobson appeared to deflect off Boston forward Mark Kastelic before hitting McAvoy.\n\nMcAvoy reacted immediately by covering his face and falling on the ice, while the team&#8217;s medical staff rushed to assist him. The 27-year-old player was quickly taken to the locker room after bleeding on the rink.\n\nHis teammate, Nikita Zadorov, was seen trying to recover the lost teeth.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>We pray that everything goes well.<\/p><cite>David Pastrnak<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe Canadiens forward, Cole Caufield, was near McAvoy at the time of the impact.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>It&#8217;s terrible. It&#8217;s a very concerning part of the game, and I really hope he&#8217;s okay.
