Kon Knueppel: An Unforgettable Homecoming with the Hornets<\/h2>\n\nCharlotte Hornets rookie Kon Knueppel had the opportunity to play in his hometown, Milwaukee, for the first time in his young career. The player, selected in the first round of the draft, turned the game into a true homecoming.\n\nKnueppel invited the entire Hornets team to his family’s house the night before the game against the Bucks.\n\n\n

Arriving on the team bus on my street, going home, was strange. And a lot of NBA players at my house. There were a lot of big people, but my family enjoyed it. My brothers definitely enjoyed it.<\/p>Kon Knueppel<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nKnueppel, the eldest of five siblings, grew up in a family environment linked to basketball, as both parents played at the university level. However, the experience of receiving the team at home was something new for some of his teammates.\n\nMason Plumlee, one of the team’s veterans, 35 years old and with 13 seasons in the NBA, expressed his surprise at the unusual situation.\n\n\n

I had never done this before, I had never been to a teammate’s house.<\/p>Mason Plumlee<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nKnueppel’s mother, Chari, was also impressed with the team:\n\n\n
