This decision was made one day before Dollander’s scheduled start against the New York Yankees on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dollander, who has a 2-5 record with a 6.28 ERA, threw 98 pitches in 4 2\/3 innings on Sunday in Arizona. In his last two starts, he has 13 strikeouts and allowed three runs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Rockies have not announced a replacement for 23-year-old Dollander in the rotation. The player is expected to be able to return after missing only two starts. The transaction is retroactive to Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
