Irsay, who was 65 years old, was a key figure in one of the franchise&#8217;s most successful eras.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>We are devastated to announce that our beloved owner and CEO, Jim Irsay, passed away peacefully in his sleep this afternoon.<\/p><cite>Pete Ward, Colts COO<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement issued by the team, Pete Ward, Colts&#8217; chief operating officer, expressed sadness at the loss. Ward highlighted Irsay&#8217;s dedication and passion for the Colts, as well as his generosity, commitment to the community, and, above all, his love for his family, qualities that made him unique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jim Irsay leaves an important legacy in sports.
