It’s the perfect time to update the minor league prospect ranking, just before some of these players may be part of important trades in the coming months.

In this update, we will analyze the players who have been promoted or are about to be, excluding them from ranking eligibility. Among them are figures like Roki Sasaki, Dylan Crews, Jackson Jobe, Jasson Dominguez, and others.

Below, we present the top 50 MLB prospects, along with those who were on the verge of making the list.

Level 60 FV

Roman Anthony

1. Roman Anthony, OF, Boston Red Sox

Anthony remains the top prospect after Sasaki’s graduation. His main area of improvement lies in converting his power into more home runs, optimizing his swing for better contact and elevation of the ball.

2. Bubba Chandler, RHP, Pittsburgh Pirates

Chandler, a high school pitching prospect in 2021, has evolved into a potential elite starter. His plus-plus fastball is among the best in the minor leagues, complemented by excellent secondary pitches and control.

3. Leodalis De Vries, SS, San Diego Padres

De Vries stands out among young shortstops for his ability to get on base and hit with power. His versatility as a switch hitter and his defensive performance make him a prospect with the potential to hit between 25 and 30 home runs.

4. Sebastian Walcott, SS, Texas Rangers

Walcott has proven to be a consistent shortstop defender, with great power, capable of hitting up to 40 home runs. Although his contact skills are slightly behind those of De Vries, his potential is undeniable.

5. Jesus Made, SS, Milwaukee Brewers

With similarities in his stance and movements to Ozzie Albies, Made, despite his young age, exhibits superior physical potential. His exit velocity off the bat is already approaching Albies’ best marks. He is a potential star, although his position and offensive profile are yet to be defined.

6. Marcelo Mayer, SS, Boston Red Sox

7. Jordan Lawlar, SS, Arizona Diamondbacks

Mayer and Lawlar have been compared since the 2021 draft. Lawlar, already in the Major Leagues, stands out for his speed and defense, while Mayer, in Triple-A, is a left-handed hitter with great potential.

8. Max Clark, OF, Detroit Tigers

9. Walker Jenkins, OF, Minnesota Twins

Clark and Jenkins, selected in the top 5 of the 2023 draft, have proven to be outstanding players. Jenkins, despite injuries, is an elite hitter with great power. Clark, for his part, stands out for his speed and offensive potential.

10. Colt Emerson, SS, Seattle Mariners

11. Kevin McGonigle, SS, Detroit Tigers

Emerson and McGonigle, selected in the first round of the 2023 draft, are hitters with a good approach and power projection. Both could play second base in the Major Leagues.

12. Chase Burns, RHP, Cincinnati Reds

Burns, despite his aggressive style, demonstrates excellent control in the strike zone. His slider and high-velocity fastball make him a pitcher with great potential.

13. Samuel Basallo, C, Baltimore Orioles

14. Dalton Rushing, C, Los Angeles Dodgers

Basallo and Rushing, with power profiles, stand out for their defense. Rushing, with a better focus, and Basallo, with greater power, promise a bright future.

15. Travis Bazzana, 2B, Cleveland Guardians

16. Aidan Miller, SS, Philadelphia Phillies

Bazzana and Miller, with similar skills, could be key players on their teams. Bazzana, with better speed and on-base ability, and Miller, with more power, have a promising future.

17. Josue De Paula, LF, Los Angeles Dodgers

De Paula, with a great approach and potential to connect 30 home runs, is reminiscent of Yordan Alvarez. Although he doesn’t stand out for his speed or defense, his offensive potential is notable.

Level 55 FV

Jac Caglianone

18.
