The fine was imposed on Friday following an incident with Winnipeg Jets player Mark Scheifele during the third period of Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinal series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Jets staved off elimination with a 4-0 victory over the Stars on Thursday. Dallas, which will host Winnipeg in Game 6 on Saturday, leads the best-of-seven series 3-2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/embed\/Tweet.html?id=1923233390079193269\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This fine represents the maximum allowed according to the collective bargaining agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incident occurred when Winnipeg was already winning 3-0, with 6:32 remaining in the third period. Benn took down Scheifele near the boards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the players were briefly separated, and while Scheifele was being held by linesman Ryan Daisy, Benn delivered a short punch to the Jets player&#8217;s jaw.
