Schneider Jokes About the “Stealing” of Ohtani from the Blue Jays<\/h2>\n\n\nToronto manager John Schneider expressed his humor and nostalgia when talking about Shohei Ohtani, the two-way star who now plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers.\n\nBefore signing a $700 million, 10-year contract with the Dodgers, Ohtani met with Blue Jays executives on December 4, 2023, at the team’s spring training complex in Dunedin, Florida.\n\nOhtani, now with the Dodgers, will be the first batter in the World Series, playing against the Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre on Friday night, following his outstanding performance in the National League Championship Series.\n\n\n
