League delegates confirmed that several playing fields are not in optimal condition for matches.\n\nAccording to reports from the National Hurricane Center (NHC), Melissa could intensify into a hurricane between Friday night and Saturday. This increases the risk of heavy rain, wind gusts, and possible flooding.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Suspended Matches<\/h2>\n\n\nThe postponed matches are:\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Gigantes del Cibao vs. Toros del Este, at the Juli\u00e1n Javier Stadium in San Francisco de Macor\u00eds (7:00 p.m.)<\/li><li>Leones del Escogido vs. \u00c1guilas Cibae\u00f1as, at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium in Santo Domingo (7:15 p.m.)<\/li><li>Estrellas Orientales vs. Tigres del Licey, at the Tetelo Vargas Stadium in San Pedro de Macor\u00eds (7:30 p.m.)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\nThis is the third consecutive day that LIDOM is forced to postpone due to the adverse weather conditions caused by Melissa.\n\nThe league announced that the new dates for the matches will be announced soon, once the weather conditions and the grounds allow it, in collaboration with the teams involved.\n\nLIDOM reaffirmed its commitment to the safety of players, fans, and stadium staff.
