For now, his focus is on recovering from the surgery he underwent a couple of weeks ago to repair the significant damage to his left knee, including the rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament.\n\n

“At the end of the day, I feel like that decision will be based on how I feel and where my mindset is at this moment,” Hill said on the podcast, which was released Thursday night. “I’m happy with the career I’ve had. I love playing football. I love it, but it takes a lot. It takes a lot mentally, it takes a lot physically.”<\/p>Tyreek Hill<\/cite>\n\nThe recipient added that they need to talk to their family to make an informed decision.\n\nHill was injured while making a reception and being tackled near the Jets’ sideline in the third quarter of Miami’s Week 4 victory. While running towards the sideline, he planted his left foot and his knee twisted as he was tackled.\n\nThe Dolphins placed him on injured reserve on October 1st.\n\n

“When I got tackled, I immediately tried to get up… I saw that my leg was twisted,” Hill said. “I immediately started laughing because I’ve been able to play this game for 10 years, really all my life, and I’ve been blessed with great talents and great gifts. The amount of support I receive from my family is incredible. So I wasn’t even really thinking about the injury. I was thinking about the good times I’ve had playing this game.”<\/p>Tyreek Hill<\/cite>\n\nHill, 31, has played 10 seasons in the NFL. In his first two years with Miami, he recorded consecutive seasons of 1,700 receiving yards, including a league record of 1,799 yards in 2023. The five-time All-Pro entered this season with the goal of regaining that elite form after a relatively down year in 2024, when he recorded 81 receptions for 959 yards, his lowest totals in both categories since 2019.\n\nThe continuation of Hill’s outstanding career, which includes a Super Bowl title with Kansas City in 2020, remains uncertain. His contract with the Dolphins extends until next season.\n\n

“I just want to be in this moment with my family,” he said. “I don’t want to make any rash decisions.”<\/p>Tyreek Hill<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nHill expressed his confidence in the Dolphins’ ability to turn things around after falling to 1-6 with last Sunday’s loss in Cleveland. He also defended quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who is coming off two consecutive games with three interceptions and recently criticized his teammates for being late to player-led meetings.\n\n

“You know how it is when you’re 1-5. Everyone has something to say,” Hill said. “Apparently, everyone is on the tightrope. It’s a tough situation. When we were winning, things were good. People could say whatever they wanted, and it was just forgotten. I’m going to support Tua no matter what’s going on because he’s my brother. I can feel what he’s saying.
