Verstappen, title contender<\/h2>\n\nP\u00e9rez, known for his outstanding career in motorsports, highlighted Verstappen’s consistency and talent as key factors in aspiring to the world championship. “Because of the consistency he has always shown, Max has very good chances of winning the championship; he is undoubtedly the driver who deserves it the most,” P\u00e9rez stated during the “From the Track to the Court” event, held in Mexico City.\n\nThe event was held in anticipation of the Mexican Grand Prix, which will be held at the Aut\u00f3dromo Hermanos Rodr\u00edguez.\n\n\n

A New Chapter for “Checo”<\/h2>\n\n\nThe Mexican driver, after his departure from Red Bull Racing at the end of the 2024 season, appeared calm and optimistic about his future in Formula 1.\n\n

It’s going to be different because I’m not going to race, but it will be incredible to see this tenth year off the track. It’s weird to be here and not compete, but I’ll watch it from home. It will only be this year; next year I’ll be back.<\/p>Sergio “Checo” P\u00e9rez<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nP\u00e9rez confirmed his return to Formula 1 in 2026 as a driver for the new Cadillac team, marking the beginning of his fifteenth season in the top motorsport circuit.\n\n\n

Motivated by the future<\/h2>\n\n\nWith 39 podium finishes in his career, “Checo” was enthusiastic about this new stage with the American team and shared some details about his return.\n\n

I want to enjoy this last stage of my career; I am very excited. We have everything ready, including the color of the helmet: it will be black.<\/p>Sergio “Checo” P\u00e9rez<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nThe Tapatio driver highlighted the confidence and support he has received from his new technical structure, contrasting with his last years at Red Bull.\n\n

It’s always good to have a team that listens to you and values you; it’s what every driver wants.
