His goal is to learn and understand the technical aspects in order to be competitive in F1.\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a2.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=%2Fphoto%2F2025%2F1023%2Fr1564709_1296x729_16%2D9.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\nHerta&#8217;s decision is based on the particularities of modern motorsport, including geography and the FIA&#8217;s superlicense system. The superlicense points system, which values FIA categories more, has been an obstacle for Herta.\n\nMcLaren driver Lando Norris has expressed his opinion on Herta&#8217;s situation, suggesting that IndyCar should have more weight in the points system. Herta has had to be patient, and now sees the opportunity as a blessing in disguise.\n\nHerta believes that the opportunity to learn before reaching F1 is valuable.
