After a successful playing career, the former captain has as his &#8220;ultimate dream&#8221; to become the team&#8217;s coach.\n\nTerry, who defended Chelsea&#8217;s colors for 22 years, became the most successful captain in the club&#8217;s history, guiding the team to glory in the Champions League and the Premier League.\n\nThe footballer, who played 717 matches with Chelsea, was only surpassed by Ron Harris in terms of matches played. Terry shared a dressing room with coaches of the stature of Jos\u00e9 Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti and Antonio Conte.\n\nTerry&#8217;s experience and leadership suggest he could be a natural candidate to lead Chelsea, although that opportunity has not materialized so far.\n\nHis former teammate and close friend, Frank Lampard, had two spells as Chelsea manager, with mixed results. This situation fuels Terry&#8217;s dream, who was assistant coach at Aston Villa between 2018 and 2021.\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a4.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=%2Fphoto%2F2025%2F1022%2Fr1564031_1296x729_16%2D9.jpg\" alt=\"John Terry levantando un trofeo\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n<em>John Terry won five Premier League titles with Chelsea.<\/em>\n\nIn his TikTok account, Terry stated: &#8220;I don&#8217;t know if it will ever happen, to be honest, it&#8217;s my ultimate dream at the football club.&#8221;\n\nThe former center-back added: &#8220;I have done everything at Chelsea and, for me, the only thing missing is being the club&#8217;s coach, that&#8217;s why I dedicated myself to coaching after retiring, because my dream was to go out and learn my trade a little.&#8221;\n\nTerry retired after 22 years as a player and stated that he learned enough to dedicate himself to coaching, considering the level at which he played and the coaches he had.\n\nThe former Chelsea player left the club in 2017 to join Aston Villa.
