William Byron and Kyle Larson, both from Hendrick Motorsports, led the front row, looking to control the restart.

Byron received help from Carson Hocevar, while Larson was pushed by Bubba Wallace. However, Larson apparently ran out of fuel, causing him to lose positions. Byron, for his part, missed the opportunity to win when Hocevar’s momentum was too strong, causing a spin.

Briscoe, however, counted on the support of his teammate Ty Gibbs, who is not in contention for the championship.

“Ty Gibbs, an incredible teammate. Honestly, I wouldn’t have won that race without Ty. This is an amazing team effort. I can’t believe I won a race on a superspeedway. I haven’t done it at any level”.
Chase Briscoe

There are still two spots available for the championship final, which will be determined in the next race. Larson and Christopher Bell are above the elimination line, while Byron, Chase Elliott, Joey Logano, and Ryan Blaney are below.

The race went into overtime after Chris Buescher, who was leading with two laps to go, was knocked off the track by Byron, who was pushed by Hocevar.

Todd Gilliland finished second, and Gibbs third. Wallace, fourth.

Elliott Suffers in an Early Accident

Chase Elliott’s hopes of advancing to the final were affected by an early accident in the race.

Elliott, already below the cut line, was involved in an eight-car crash on lap 52, which sent him to the garage for repairs and relegated him to last place.

Elliott will now face a “must-win” situation at Martinsville Speedway to reach the final in Phoenix.

“It is what it is, I can’t change it now.
