Las Vegas Aces Celebrate Their Third Championship with an Epic Parade<\/h2>\n\nLas Vegas got dressed up to celebrate a sporting milestone. Eight years after the confirmation of the San Antonio Stars’ move to Las Vegas, the Aces commemorated their third championship in four years with an unforgettable parade down the famous Strip.\n\n\n

“We’re back!” exclaimed owner Mark Davis, wearing a white satin team jacket on the stage at Toshiba Plaza, in front of the T-Mobile Arena. “Las Vegas, we are world champions.”<\/p>\n\nMark Davis<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe parade, led by classic low-rider<\/em> cars showcasing their hydraulics, featured five double-decker buses that traveled along Tropicana Boulevard to Las Vegas Boulevard. The last bus carried the Aces, who threw streamers and confetti at thousands of fans.\n\nThe Aces, who overcame a 14-14 start to the season and two hard-fought playoff series, swept the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA Finals.\n\nThe Toshiba Plaza filled up to celebrate the fourth professional championship since 2022, with the Aces winning three and the NHL’s Golden Knights winning the Stanley Cup in 2023.\n\n\n

“We should do it again next year,” Aces coach Becky Hammon said.<\/p>\n\nBecky Hammon<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nHammon, who completed her fourth season with the Aces, highlighted that this year’s team was the easiest to coach.\n\n\n

\n\n

“They came and worked hard, no matter the circumstances. This is one of the groups with the most character and resilience,” Hammon said.<\/p>\n\nBecky Hammon<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nAfter losing several key players from their previous rosters, the Aces welcomed many new faces and needed almost three months to consolidate before achieving 16 consecutive wins to end the regular season and secure second place in the playoffs.\n\n\n

“This is a special group; we pray together and we toast with champagne together,” said A’ja Wilson, who got emotional talking about Hammon’s dedication to each player. “She believed in us when no one else did. We’re not going anywhere without Becky Hammon.”<\/p>\n\nA’ja Wilson<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nNaLyssa Smith, who joined the team mid-season, looked at her teammates on stage and said: “You changed my life.”\n\nJackie Young, who has been part of the team in all three championships, maintained her characteristic concise comment:\n\n\n

“Just know, we’re not done yet,” Young said.<\/p>\n\nJackie Young<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe celebration culminated with confetti and fireworks, while “We Are The Champions” by Queen resonated on the sound system.\n\nCrime Mob, Ludacris, and Mya provided live performances.\n\n\n
