Texas Rangers closer Luke Jackson suffered a mishap in the game against the Colorado Rockies. In the ninth inning, Jackson received a 111 mph hit that directly impacted his throwing hand.<\/p>\n\n
The incident occurred in the only pitch he made in the game, right after entering the field. Although the initial X-rays were negative, Jackson’s hand showed notable inflammation.<\/p>\n\n
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy mentioned the possibility of Jackson being placed on the injured list, but further evaluations will be awaited to make a final decision.<\/p>\n\n
The hit was connected by Ryan McMahon, who hit the ball directly towards Jackson. The ball hit the pitcher’s hand and went up before falling, resulting in an infield single.<\/p>\n\n
Jackson left the game immediately after the impact, receiving attention from the coaching staff.<\/p>\n\n

When asked about Seager after the game, Bochy responded: “No, no. We’ll know more tomorrow.”<\/p>\n\n
The hit that Jackson hit occurred one inning after Brenton Doyle hit a line drive that was caught by Chris Martin.<\/p>\n\n
Jacob Webb replaced Jackson and managed to get an out by fielder’s choice. The Rockies then loaded the bases.<\/p>\n\n
The game ended with Webb earning his first save after Kyle Farmer hit a ground ball to third baseman Josh Jung, who stepped on the base and then threw to first to complete a double play.<\/p>\n\n
