The celebration took place eight years after the WNBA and the NBA Board of Governors confirmed the relocation of the San Antonio Stars to Las Vegas.\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>We&#8217;re back! Las Vegas, we are world champions.<\/p><cite>Mark Davis, owner of the Aces<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nThe parade, led by classic <em>low-rider<\/em> cars that displayed their hydraulic systems, featured five double-decker buses that traveled along Las Vegas Boulevard. The last bus carried the Aces, who threw streamers and confetti at the thousands of fans who gathered.\nThe Aces overcame a 14-14 start to the season and challenging playoff series before sweeping the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA Finals.\nThe Toshiba Plaza, packed with fans of all ages and dignitaries, was the setting for the fourth celebration of a professional championship since 2022, with three titles for the Aces and the Stanley Cup for the NHL&#8217;s Golden Knights in 2023.\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>We should do it again next year.<\/p><cite>Becky Hammon, Aces coach<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nHammon, who completed her fourth season with the Aces, highlighted that this year&#8217;s team was the easiest to manage.\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>They came and worked hard, no matter the circumstances. This is one of the most resilient and characterful groups.<\/p><cite>Becky Hammon, Aces coach<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nAfter losing several key players from the previous championship teams, the Aces welcomed many new faces and needed almost three months to consolidate before achieving 16 consecutive wins to end the regular season and secure second place in the playoffs.\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>This is a special group, we pray together and toast with champagne together.<\/p><cite>A&#8217;ja Wilson, MVP<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nA&#8217;ja Wilson, four-time MVP, was emotional when talking about Hammon&#8217;s dedication to each player. Mid-season acquisition, NaLyssa Smith, expressed that her teammates had changed her life.\nJackie Young, who has been part of the team in all three championships, summarized her intervention with a resounding &#8220;We&#8217;re not done yet.&#8221;\nThe celebration culminated with confetti and fireworks, while Queen&#8217;s &#8220;We Are The Champions&#8221; played.
