This triumph not only represents Briscoe’s first victory on a superspeedway, but also secures him a place in the NASCAR season finale.

Briscoe joins teammate Denny Hamlin as the Toyota drivers who already have a guaranteed spot in the final, which will be held at Phoenix Raceway in two weeks.

The race, which extended into overtime, saw Briscoe start from sixth position. Strategy and teamwork were crucial to his victory.

In the restart, William Byron and Kyle Larson, both Chevrolet drivers, led the front row. Byron received support from Carson Hocevar, while Larson was pushed by Bubba Wallace. However, Larson apparently ran out of fuel, causing him to lose positions. Byron, in an attempt to win, spun out.

Ty Gibbs, an incredible teammate. Honestly, I wouldn’t have won that race without Ty. This is an amazing team effort. I can’t believe I won a race on a superspeedway. I haven’t done it at any level.
Chase Briscoe

Briscoe counted on the support of Ty Gibbs, his teammate at JGR, who is not eligible for the championship. Briscoe highlighted the importance of teamwork to achieve victory.

There are two spots left for the championship final, which will be decided in the next race. Larson and Christopher Bell are above the elimination line, while Byron, Chase Elliott, Joey Logano, and Ryan Blaney are below.

The race went into overtime after Chris Buescher, who was leading, was hit by Byron, who in turn was pushed by Hocevar, causing an accident that sent Buescher into the wall.

Todd Gilliland finished in second place, and Ty Gibbs in third. Bubba Wallace, from the 23XI team, finished in fourth place.

Chase Elliott Suffers a Setback in the Race

Chase Elliott’s aspirations of advancing to the final were affected by an accident in the early stages of the race. Elliott, already below the cut line, was involved in a crash that damaged his vehicle.

Elliott will now face the need to win at Martinsville Speedway to secure his place in the final in Phoenix.

It is what it is, I can’t change it now. All eyes on Martinsville and try to get a win.
Chase Elliott

Elliott won at Martinsville in 2020, which led him to his only Cup title.

Next Race

The next race, which will determine the four finalists of the championship, will be held next Sunday at the Martinsville Speedway in Virginia.

Chase Briscoe Secures a Spot in the NASCAR Final at Talladega In an exciting race that was decided in overtime, Chase Briscoe, driver for Joe Gibbs Racing, took the victory at Talladega Superspeedway.
