The penalty is due to an incident in Saturday&#8217;s sprint race, where he collided with Esteban Ocon.\n\nThe crash occurred at Turn 1 when Stroll attempted an overtake on the inside and, according to the stewards, misjudged the braking point, hitting Ocon.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n\n<p>&#8220;Car 18 attempted an overtake on the inside of car 31 at turn 1, but miscalculated the braking point and collided with car 31,&#8221; according to the stewards&#8217; report.<\/p>\n\n<cite>Stewards&#8217; Report<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe collision caused the race, won by Max Verstappen, to end under the safety car.
