This exciting fight will take place on November 14th at the Kaseya Center in Miami, as part of the Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis card.\n\nThe boxing match, scheduled for six rounds in the heavyweight category, will be broadcast live on Netflix as the opening fight of the main card.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n\n<p>&#8220;Anderson and his team approached me immediately after the Jake Paul vs. &#8216;Tank&#8217; Davis fight was announced and said they would like to be part of the event and would like to fight Chris Weidman,&#8221; commented Nakisa Bidarian, CEO and co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions.<\/p>\n\n<cite>Nakisa Bidarian, CEO of Most Valuable Promotions<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe fight will give Silva the opportunity to seek revenge against Weidman, although now in the world of boxing. In July 2013, Weidman knocked out Silva, ending his historic reign of 2,457 days as UFC middleweight champion. The rematch, five months later, resulted in a TKO loss for Silva due to a terrible leg fracture.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m super excited to embark on another battle against Chris,&#8221; Silva declared. &#8220;We have a history and on Friday, November 14th, live only on Netflix, we will put another mark on our chapter together. It will be a show for the fans!&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<cite>Anderson Silva<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nWeidman, who was UFC middleweight champion for two and a half years, and successfully defended his title three times against Silva, Lyoto Machida and Vitor Belfort, before losing to Luke Rockhold in December 2015.\n\nWeidman will now try his luck in boxing, seeking his third victory against one of the best mixed martial artists of all time.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n\n<p>&#8220;I am undefeated in boxing and will remain so on Friday, November 14th, live on Netflix,&#8221; Weidman said. &#8220;I am the original &#8216;spider killer&#8217;.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<cite>Chris Weidman<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nSilva has a 3-2 record in boxing, including a victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in 2021 and a loss to Jake Paul in his last fight in 2022. Weidman will make his professional boxing debut.\n\n&#8220;This is for Brazil&#8230; the greatest MMA fighter of all time, Anderson Silva, returns to boxing, facing the world, against Chris Weidman, the man who ended Anderson&#8217;s record championship reign,&#8221; said Bidarian. &#8220;Both fighters have a lot to gain on Friday, November 14th, as the legends close the chapter on a contentious rivalry, meeting in the ring for the first time after their two iconic cage matchups.
