Anderson Silva vs. Chris Weidman: Clash of Legends in Boxing<\/h2>\n\n\nMMA legend Anderson Silva will return to the boxing ring to face one of his biggest rivals, Chris Weidman. This exciting fight will take place on November 14th at the Kaseya Center in Miami, as part of the Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis card.\n\nThe boxing match, scheduled for six rounds in the heavyweight category, will be broadcast live on Netflix, opening the main card.\n\n\n

“Anderson and his team approached me immediately after the Jake Paul vs. ‘Tank’ Davis fight was announced and said they would like to be part of the event and would like to fight Chris Weidman,” said Nakisa Bidarian, CEO and co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions.<\/p>\n\nNakisa Bidarian, CEO of Most Valuable Promotions<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe fight will give Silva the opportunity to avenge his MMA defeats against Weidman, although in a boxing ring. Silva was knocked out by Weidman in July 2013, ending his historic 2,457-day reign as UFC middleweight champion.\n\nThe second fight took place five months later, and Silva lost by TKO after suffering a terrible leg fracture.\n\n\n

“I’m super excited to embark on another battle against Chris,” Silva declared. “We have a history and on Friday, November 14th, live only on Netflix, we will put another stamp on our chapter together. It will be a show for the fans!”<\/p>\n\nAnderson Silva<\/cite>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nWeidman, who was UFC middleweight champion for 2 and a half years, made three successful title defenses against Silva, Lyoto Machida, and Vitor Belfort before losing to Luke Rockhold in December 2015.\n\nWeidman suffered a leg injury in 2021 and announced his retirement from the UFC in January, but signed with Global Fight League and was scheduled to face Rockhold in April. However, the fight never materialized as GFL canceled all its events indefinitely.\n\nThe outstanding college wrestler will now try his luck in a boxing ring and seek to reach 3-0 against one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time.\n\n\n

“I am undefeated in boxing and will remain so on Friday, November 14th, live on Netflix,” Weidman said. “I am the original ‘spider slayer’.”<\/p>\n\nChris Weidman<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nSilva has a 3-2 record as a boxer, with a victory over former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in 2021 and a loss to Jake Paul in his most recent outing in 2022.
