A Florida judge awarded Masvidal a default judgment of over $5 million in his lawsuit against the online platform Fanmio.\n\nThe company Fanmio was the promoter of the boxing match between Masvidal and Nate Diaz in 2024.\n\nJudge Beatrice Butchko Sanchez approved Masvidal&#8217;s request, after an arbitrator awarded the former BMF champion $5,315,268.64, plus post-judgment interest.\n\nMasvidal sued Fanmio in January, alleging that his agreement for the fight with Diaz included a $6 million purse, plus an additional $1 million if he won. Masvidal lost the fight by decision and claimed to have received only a $150,000 advance and a $1 million payment.\n\nThe referee ruled in favor of Masvidal, and with final approval, the matter has been resolved.\n\nHowever, Fanmio still faces lawsuits from other fighters.\n\nNate Diaz filed a lawsuit against Fanmio two weeks later, claiming he was owed more than $9 million. An arbitrator awarded Diaz $6 million, plus attorney&#8217;s fees.
