His 22 career playoff home runs tie him with Bernie Williams for fourth place.\n\nSchneider indicated that Springer received treatment on Saturday and was expected to test his knee in a team training session.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;Just making sure it doesn&#8217;t bother him hitting and running,&#8221; Schneider said. &#8220;But he&#8217;s a tough kid, so I&#8217;m hopeful and optimistic that he&#8217;ll be ready to play.&#8221;<\/p><cite>John Schneider, Blue Jays Manager<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nSpringer fell to the ground after being hit by Woo&#8217;s pitch and remained in the batter&#8217;s box while Schneider and coach Drew MacDonald came out of the dugout. Springer walked with difficulty towards first base, tried to run a few steps, then retreated and was replaced by pinch runner Joey Loperfido.\n\nSchneider also commented on the situation of injured shortstop Bo Bichette, who has yet to run the bases since he was injured the Saturday before the start of the ALCS.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;You&#8217;ve probably seen it in the outfield, but not yet on the bases,&#8221; Schneider told reporters. &#8220;He may do it today. But he&#8217;s definitely progressing.
