A Florida judge awarded Masvidal a default judgment for over $5 million in his lawsuit against the online platform Fanmio.\n\nThe company was the promoter of the Masvidal vs. Nate Diaz boxing match in 2024.\n\nJudge Beatrice Butchko Sanchez approved Masvidal&#8217;s request, granting the sentence after an arbitration ruling that awarded the former BMF champion $5,315,268.64, plus post-judgment interest related to the fight.\n\nMasvidal sued Fanmio in January, alleging that his agreement for the fight with Diaz included a $6 million purse, plus an additional $1 million if he won the fight. Masvidal lost the fight by decision and claimed to have received only a $150,000 advance and a $1 million payment.\n\nA referee ruled in favor of Masvidal, and with the final approval, this matter has been resolved.\n\nHowever, Fanmio still faces litigation with other fighters.\n\nNate Diaz filed a lawsuit against Fanmio two weeks later, claiming that he was owed more than $9 million. An arbitrator awarded Diaz $6 million, in addition to attorney&#8217;s fees.
