A Florida judge awarded Masvidal a default judgment for over $5 million in his lawsuit against the online platform Fanmio.\n\nThe company Fanmio was the promoter of the Masvidal vs. Nate Diaz boxing match in 2024.\n\nJudge Beatrice Butchko Sanchez approved Masvidal&#8217;s request after an arbitrator awarded the former BMF champion $5,315,268.64, plus post-judgment interest related to the fight.\n\nMasvidal sued Fanmio in January, alleging that his agreement for the fight against Diaz included a $6 million purse, plus an additional million if he won. Masvidal lost the fight by decision and claimed to have received only a $150,000 advance and a $1 million payment.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>A referee ruled in favor of Masvidal, and with the final approval, this matter has been resolved.<\/p><cite>Alofoke Deportes<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nHowever, Fanmio still faces lawsuits from other fighters.\n\nNate Diaz filed a lawsuit against Fanmio two weeks after the Masvidal case, claiming more than $9 million. An arbitrator awarded Diaz $6 million, plus attorney&#8217;s fees. That case is still awaiting final approval.\n\nIn March, Fanmio filed a lawsuit against Golden Boy Promotions and Ryan Garcia for a canceled exhibition match with Rukiya Anpo, which was to take place on December 31, 2024.
