The ESPN legend celebrates 50 years with a contract that IGNITES excitement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Chris Berman extends his link with ESPN until 2029<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Chris Berman will remain at ESPN until his 50th anniversary with the company, including a role in the Super Bowl coverage in 2027, the network announced on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Berman signed an extension that will keep him until 2029, when he would be the first ESPN employee to reach 50 years of service. Berman joined ESPN less than a month after its launch in September 1979.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ESPN will cover the Super Bowl on February 14, 2027, from Los Angeles. Berman, as part of his new agreement, will contribute to the coverage. It will be his 45th Super Bowl in various roles for the network; he was previously a presenter for three pre-game shows for ABC in 2000, 2003, and 2006.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a4.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=%2Fphoto%2F2018%2F0202%2Fr322550_1296x729_16%2D9.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><figcaption>Chris Berman se uni\u00f3 a ESPN menos de un mes despu\u00e9s de su lanzamiento en septiembre de 1979. Boomer&#8217;s enjoyment of sports leaps through the screen and generations of fans have loved being on board for the ride.<\/p>\n\n<cite>Jimmy Pitaro, ESPN President<\/cite>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Berman was the host of ESPN&#8217;s Sunday pregame show for 31 years and his time on NFL PrimeTime has continued with the program on ESPN+ and in the postseason on ESPN. He is also a longtime SportsCenter anchor (starting with the 2:30 a.m. ET edition when he was 24) and has been a key part of ESPN&#8217;s coverage of Major League Baseball (including 31 All-Star Games and 30 World Series) and major golf championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also the host at the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which it has held since 1979.
