A Florida judge awarded him a default judgment of over $5 million in his lawsuit against the online platform Fanmio.\n\nThe lawsuit is related to Masvidal&#8217;s 2024 boxing match against Nate Diaz. Judge Beatrice Butchko Sanchez approved Masvidal&#8217;s request, after an arbitrator awarded the former BMF champion $5,315,268.64, plus post-judgment interest.\n\nMasvidal filed the lawsuit against Fanmio in January. In it, he alleged that his agreement for the fight with Diaz included a $6 million purse, plus an additional $1 million if he won the fight. Masvidal lost the fight by decision and stated that he only received a $150,000 advance and a $1 million payment.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>A referee ruled in favor of Masvidal, and with the final approval, this matter has been resolved.<\/p><cite>Alofoke Deportes<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nHowever, Fanmio still faces litigation with other fighters.\n\nNate Diaz filed a lawsuit against Fanmio two weeks after the Masvidal case, claiming that he was owed more than $9 million. An arbitrator awarded Diaz $6 million, in addition to attorney&#8217;s fees. That case is still awaiting final approval.\n\nIn March, Fanmio filed a lawsuit against Golden Boy Promotions and Ryan Garcia for a canceled exhibition match with Rukiya Anpo, which was scheduled for December 31, 2024.
