Similarly, Haas F1 team director Ayao Komatsu dismissed any suggestion that he would join the team.\n\nIn July, Ferrari signed a new multi-year contract with current team principal Fred Vasseur, ending speculation about his future, despite the team&#8217;s lackluster results. Since then, both Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have publicly backed Vasseur.\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>It&#8217;s a little distracting for us as a team. The team has made it clear how things are in terms of Fred&#8217;s renewal.
