Authorities believe it was a premeditated attack.\n\nEmergency services responded to Annaluke Street, where they found Mokhtarian with gunshot wounds. Despite the paramedics&#8217; efforts, he died at the scene.\n\nMokhtarian competed in the UFC in 2018 and 2019. After his retirement, he dedicated himself to coaching, playing a key role in the development of young MMA prospects at the Australian Top Team, alongside his brother Ashkan Mokhtarian.\n\nThe police have established a crime scene and initiated an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the shooting.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>A man has died in a shooting in a public place west of Sydney today.<\/p><cite>New South Wales Police Statement<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nAt approximately 6:15 p.m., emergency services were alerted to a vehicle fire on Riverstone Road, near Clark Street. Firefighters extinguished the flames, but the vehicle was destroyed.
