Despite the efforts of paramedics, he died at the scene.\n\nMokhtarian competed in the UFC in 2018 and 2019, before dedicating himself to coaching. He played a crucial role in the development of promising MMA talents at the Australian Top Team, alongside his brother Ashkan Mokhtarian.\n\nThe police have established a crime scene and have initiated an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the shooting.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>A man has died in a shooting in a public place in western Sydney today<\/p><cite>New South Wales Police Statement<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nShortly after the incident, emergency services were alerted to a vehicle fire on Riverstone Road, near Clark Street. Police are investigating whether both incidents are related.\n\nJesse Swain, a Mokhtarian student, shared a touching tribute on Instagram.\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/...\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Title of the post<\/a><\/p>\n\n\nThe post says: &#8220;I couldn&#8217;t sleep tonight after hearing the news. Suman believed in me more than I believed in myself, I owe him everything I&#8217;ve done in MMA. Anyone who knew him personally knows how passionate and invigorating he was and expected the best from you. He pushed me to heights I never thought I&#8217;d reach at first, stopped me from quitting at the end of 2024 right before he got me professional opportunities and personally told me my potential in the game.
