Defenseman Roman Josi delivered a cross-check that caused Tkachuk to hit the boards unfavorably. Despite the injury, the 26-year-old player remained in the game before leaving it in the second half of the third period.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>He&#8217;s going to miss a significant amount of time. We&#8217;ll know more in the next 24 hours. We don&#8217;t know exactly, but it&#8217;s four weeks or more. We don&#8217;t know exactly.<\/p><cite>Travis Green, Senators coach<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nCoach Green mentioned to the media that surgery is a possibility for Tkachuk, but that, at a minimum, he will miss four weeks of play.\n\nSo far this season, Tkachuk has recorded three assists in three games for Ottawa, the team that drafted him in 2018.\n\nBrady&#8217;s brother, Matthew Tkachuk, is also injured.
