For the first time in its history, WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will be held outside of North America. The city of Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia, will host the 2027 edition, as part of the “Riyadh Season”, according to WWE’s announcement on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\nSince its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been held in North American cities. The idea of taking the event international had been hinted at by Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Creative Officer, and is now materializing.\n\n\n
