Mangold, who was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder in 2006, shared the news via social media and a team statement.\n\nMangold, a member of the Jets&#8217; Ring of Honor, revealed that he has been dealing with health problems and is currently undergoing dialysis.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>This is not an easy message to share, but I want to be open about what has been happening with my health.<\/p><cite>Nick Mangold<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe former American football player expressed that, although he always knew this day would come, he hoped to have more time.
