These three drivers led 273 of the 301 laps of the race.\n\nWilliam Byron, with a Chevrolet, finished in third place.\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cPenske&#8217;s drivers were very fast,\u201d Byron said.<\/p><cite>William Byron<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nLogano, who led 147 laps, finished fourth.\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201c[Blaney] was incredibly fast in practice, and he showed it again in the race,\u201d Logano said.<\/p><cite>Joey Logano<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nChase Elliott, after qualifying in 27th place, managed to move up to fifth place.\n\nChristopher Bell finished sixth, being the best Toyota driver.\n\nKyle Larson and Ross Chastain also finished in the top 10.\n\nThe race was also marked by an incident between teammates.\n\nIn lap 110, Denny Hamlin spun his teammate Ty Gibbs, crashing into the wall.\n\nHamlin questioned by radio if Gibbs was receiving preferential treatment.\n\nGibbs, who finished in 34th place, did not comment on the incident.\n\nHamlin, after a conversation with Joe Gibbs, competition director, simply said that what happened was unfortunate.\n\nThe next race of the second round of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs will be held at Kansas Speedway.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a race dominated by Fords at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Ryan Blaney took the victory in the first race of the second round of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.
