The city of Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia, will host the &#8220;Showcase of the Immortals&#8221; as part of the &#8220;Riyadh Season&#8221; in 2027, according to an announcement made by WWE on Friday.\n\nSince its inception in 1985, WrestleMania had been limited to North American cities. Paul &#8220;Triple H&#8221; Levesque, WWE&#8217;s Chief Content Officer, had hinted at the possibility of taking the company&#8217;s biggest event abroad, and now that vision is materializing.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the planet and excites fans everywhere.<\/p><cite>Paul &#8220;Triple H&#8221; Levesque, WWE&#8217;s Chief Creative Officer<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe official announcement comes a few days after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia&#8217;s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned in a now-deleted Snapchat live video that WrestleMania would move to Saudi Arabia.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. We deeply respect the legacy of WrestleMania and the global prestige it holds among wrestling fans worldwide.<\/p><cite>Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nWWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, following a billion-dollar deal with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to hold multiple events in the country over the next 10 years. Next year&#8217;s Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE&#8217;s &#8220;Big Four&#8221; events to be held in Saudi Arabia.\n\nWrestleMania 42 will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026.
