{"id":49559,"date":"2025-10-12T08:11:25","date_gmt":"2025-10-12T12:11:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alofokedeportes.com\/en\/sin-categoria\/sinfield-supports-moody-after-als-diagnosis-fight-continues-2\/"},"modified":"2025-10-12T08:11:25","modified_gmt":"2025-10-12T12:11:25","slug":"sinfield-supports-moody-after-als-diagnosis-fight-continues-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alofokedeportes.com\/en\/rugby\/sinfield-supports-moody-after-als-diagnosis-fight-continues-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Sinfield Supports Moody After ALS Diagnosis: Fight Continues"},"content":{"rendered":"Kevin Sinfield has expressed his commitment to &#8220;support in any way possible&#8221; after learning of the diagnosis of motor neuron disease (MND) of former England rugby captain Lewis Moody.\n\nSinfield, who has been a key figure in the fight against MND, has raised over \u00a310 million to fund research and raise awareness of this disease since his friend and teammate at Leeds Rhinos, Rob Burrow, was diagnosed in 2019.\n\nBurrow passed away due to complications from the disease at the age of 41 last June.\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a3.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=%2Fphoto%2F2025%2F1007%2Fr1556824_1296x729_16%2D9.jpg\" alt=\"Lewis Moody\" title=\"\"><figcaption>Lewis Moody capitane\u00f3 a Inglaterra durante su carrera de rugby.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\nCurrently the coach of the England rugby team, Sinfield told the PA news agency: &#8220;Obviously, I am very saddened by the news. I would like to wish Lewis, and all his family and friends, the best.&#8221;\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I will support in any way I can.
