The announcement was made through an interview.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>There&#8217;s something about looking at the future head-on and not wanting to process that at this moment. It&#8217;s not that I don&#8217;t understand where it&#8217;s going. We understand it. But there&#8217;s absolutely a reluctance to look at the future head-on for now.<\/p><cite>Lewis Moody<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nMoody was a key player in England&#8217;s 2003 triumph. He played in all seven World Cup matches in Australia and, in the final against the hosts, won the line-out that led to Jonny Wilkinson&#8217;s winning drop goal.\n\nIn his career, Moody won seven Premiership titles with the Leicester Tigers and two Heineken Cups, finishing his career at Bath.\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a2.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=%2Fphoto%2F2025%2F1006%2Fr1556374_1296x729_16%2D9.jpg\" alt=\"Lewis Moody fue capit\u00e1n de Inglaterra de 2010 a 2011.\" title=\"\"><figcaption>Lewis Moody fue capit\u00e1n de Inglaterra de 2010 a 2011.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\nALS is a degenerative neurological condition that generally shortens life. The symptoms and the speed at which muscle weakness develops can vary between individuals. Currently, there is no cure.\n\nMoody reported that he noticed the first symptoms after feeling weakness in his shoulder while at the gym.
