{"id":49448,"date":"2025-10-12T05:25:01","date_gmt":"2025-10-12T09:25:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alofokedeportes.com\/en\/sin-categoria\/sinfield-supports-lewis-moody-after-als-diagnosis-solidarity-in-rugby-2\/"},"modified":"2025-10-12T05:25:01","modified_gmt":"2025-10-12T09:25:01","slug":"sinfield-supports-lewis-moody-after-als-diagnosis-solidarity-in-rugby-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alofokedeportes.com\/en\/rugby\/sinfield-supports-lewis-moody-after-als-diagnosis-solidarity-in-rugby-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Sinfield Supports Lewis Moody After ALS Diagnosis: Solidarity in Rugby"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Kevin Sinfield Stands with Lewis Moody After ALS Diagnosis<\/h2>\n\nKevin Sinfield has expressed his unconditional support for Lewis Moody, former captain of the English rugby team, after learning of his diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).\n\nSinfield, who has been a fervent advocate in the fight against ALS, has pledged to &#8220;support in any way possible&#8221; Moody and his family.\n\nSince his friend and teammate at Leeds Rhinos, Rob Burrow, was diagnosed with the disease in 2019, Sinfield has raised over \u00a310 million to fund research and raise awareness of ALS.\n\nBurrow died from complications of the disease at age 41 last June.\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a3.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=%2Fphoto%2F2025%2F1007%2Fr1556824_1296x729_16%2D9.jpg\" alt=\"Lewis Moody captained England during his rugby career.\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\nSinfield, currently the coach of the England rugby team, told the PA news agency: &#8220;Obviously, I am very saddened by the news. I would like to wish Lewis, and all his family and friends, the best.&#8221;\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I will support in any way I can.
