The sanction, which began on September 20, 2024, will end on March 20, 2026.\n\nThe suspension occurs after three &#8220;whereabouts failures&#8221; in which McGregor did not show up for testing on June 13, September 19, and September 20, 2024, and did not provide accurate information about his location.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cMcGregor missed three attempts to provide biological samples in a 12-month period in 2024, which constitutes a violation of the UFC&#8217;s ADP,\u201d reads a CSAD press release on the UFC website.<\/p><cite>CSAD<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nAccording to CSAD, UFC athletes must provide accurate whereabouts information at all times to be contacted and undergo unannounced biological sample collection. The agency also noted that McGregor was recovering from an injury and was not preparing for a fight at the time of the failed tests.\n\n\n<p>Despite the violations, CSAD reduced the standard 24-month sanction for three whereabouts failures in six months, taking into account McGregor&#8217;s cooperation and mitigating circumstances.
