This makes Higgins the first player selected in the second round in NFL history to get a fully guaranteed contract.\n\n<p>Traditionally, only players selected in the first round receive fully guaranteed contracts. However, Texans general manager Nick Caserio didn&#8217;t hesitate to make history with Higgins&#8217; agent, Chris Cabott, of EquitySports.<\/p>\n\n<p>This decision reflects the Texans&#8217; confidence in Higgins, whom they selected with the 34th pick of the draft, coming from Iowa State.
