Greyserman Seeks Victory at the Baycurrent Classic<\/h2>\n\nMax Greyserman is in a prime position to secure his first PGA Tour victory, leading the Baycurrent Classic in Japan.\n\nGreyserman, who last year was just one stroke away from victory in this same tournament, had an impressive round on Friday, with a card of 63 strokes, eight under par. With a cumulative of 12 under par in two rounds, he leads his pursuers by four strokes.\n\nHis main competitors are Alex Smalley (65), Xander Schauffele (63) and Alex Noren (65).\n\nThe tournament, which is held in Yokohama this year after having been played east of Tokyo, is the only PGA Tour event in Japan. The inaugural edition was in 2019, with Tiger Woods as champion.\n\n\n

If you’re hitting good shots, you’re being rewarded for them, so I was able to take a lot of advantage of that.<\/p>Xander Schauffele<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nFour other players are five strokes behind the leader, including the defending champion, Echavarria.\n\nKazuki Higa, from Japan, had an impressive first half of the round with eight birdies in his first nine holes, but couldn’t keep up the pace and finished with 64 strokes, six strokes behind the leader.\n\nCollin Morikawa, who was part of the American Ryder Cup team alongside Schauffele, shot a round of 68 strokes, three under par, and is nine strokes behind the leader at the Yokohama Country Club.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
