The Irishman accumulated six bogeys and two birdies.\n\nThe provisional leaders were the Englishman Marco Penge and the Frenchman Frederic Lacroix, both with rounds of 66 (-5).\n\nRahm seeks his fourth title at the Spanish Open, which would make him the most successful player in the tournament since the creation of the European circuit in 1972, surpassing Seve Ballesteros.
