He was 17 years old.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n\n<p>&#8220;The WBA and the boxing world mourn the passing of Arturo Gatti Jr. His journey was just beginning, but his spirit will live on forever, now reunited with his legendary father among the stars,&#8221; the organization expressed in a statement.<\/p>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nReports of the teenager&#8217;s death began circulating on social media and were confirmed by Chuck Zito, Gatti Sr.&#8217;s former bodyguard, also through a social media post.\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/...\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;It is with great sadness that I have to say&#8230; RIP to Arturo Gatti Jr., 17 years old,&#8221; Zito wrote on Instagram.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\nMoe Latif, Gatti Jr.&#8217;s coach, also confirmed the news in a social media post.\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/...\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Unfortunately, it&#8217;s neither a rumor nor a joke.
